Android 6.0: Marshmallow Explained

The new OS, Marshmallow has been introduced and the Android users are loving it! But, unfortunately it had some bugs and issues that Google has now removed in the latest 6.0.1 update and came with even more features. In this article, I will review about Android 6.0.1 that has arrived on smartphones chosen by Google. Let’s discuss what is to discover in this new OS that Google has launched:
New Emoji
With the new Android OS release, Google has taken a smart move and introduced Unicode 8.0 emoji to its customers which Apple first released in iOS 9.1.
Double Tap Camera
When Android 6.0 came, you could double tap your power button to open up your camera but that was only allowed in Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. With Android 6.0.1, Google has featured this on older nexus devices (including Nexus 5, 7 and 9 respectively). Although there is no confirmation that this feature will come out on non-nexus android smartphones, you should look out for it because it is a handy feature to have in your smartphone.
Do not Disturb Mode
This feature was improved a little bit on Android 6.0 but a powerful feature was mysteriously removed. With the new update, Google has added the ability to mute all the notifications until the alarm that you have scheduled goes off.
Android Marshmallow is a new OS with tons of features over older OS that Android introduced in the past. Google is updating it constantly to provide even more user friendly experience to the android users. Keep an eye out for an update over your smartphone.
